Ally If both houses share this diplomatic stance then they will form an alliance. In an alliance, neither house may attack each other in PK zones unless they are enrolled in a quest. When allied, houses may use each other's ships. Entering and taking command is permitted. When allied, houses have access to each other's houses. Members may quit, enter, and utilize all house facilities freely.

Loyal If a house declares this stance they indicate that they will not attack the house they are loyal to in PK zones unless they are enrolled in a quest. Note: This is regardless of the other house's attitude towards them.

Friendly When both houses share a diplomatic stance of Friendship or better, they have agreed not to attack each other in PK zones unless they are enrolled in a quest.

Neutral This is the default diplomatic stance between houses. If two houses have neutral diplomatic relations they will abide by the standard rules of the game.

Hostile If both houses share a hostile or worse stance towards each other they will be able to attack each other regardless if they are in a PK zone or not. Even if houses are hostile to each other there are still a number of places in the game that are off limits to house combats such as recall spots, shops, holy places, and peaceful rooms.

Vendetta A 'Vendetta' is a blood feud between two houses. If both houses share a diplomatic stance of Vendetta or worse they will take all the gold from a member of the opposing house if they kill them. An exception is made for players enrolled in a quest.

War If both houses declare a diplomatic stance of war they will be able to attack anywhere and take gold on a kill. As with a vendetta stance, players in quests are immune to wars. Unlike vendetta, players killed by a warring house are considered to have died a true death and will have to regain their soul.
